Botox

Botox (also Xeomin)

Botulinum toxin is an injectable liquid used to diminish facial lines and wrinkles. Small volumes of Botox are injected into specific muscles of the face and neck to reduce overexertion of these muscles and prevent the resultant moderate to severe lines such as those on the forehead, between the brows, at the corners of the eyes. The procedure is very well tolerated and takes effect 5-10 days after administration. The treatment lasts between 3-6 months.

Consultation and Costs

Insurance does not cover the injection of Botox as it is undertaken for cosmetic reasons. The patient is therefore responsible for the cost of the treatment at the time of the procedure. Costs will be quoted prior to treatment. Your physician will discuss costs with you.

We require that you call to set up a Botox consultation prior to initiating treatment. This will afford you and your physician the opportunity to thoroughly discuss the procedure and to develop a treatment plan that is best suited for you. Should you choose to initiate treatment, the cost of the consultation will be deducted from the cost of your initial treatment session, which is usually scheduled at a later date. On occasion it may be possible to have the consultation and treatment sessions combined into a single visit.
